Shunting interlockings for optimum shunting operations

Shunting signal boxes cover the monitored track infrastructure area up to the limit of the setting range. All points equipped with points position signals can be fitted with electrically operated points (EOW) and can be operated either in local operation by the locomotive shunting driver or in remote operation by the points supervisor.

The points are usually operated remotely by the points supervisor. The points can be set to local operation in consultation with the points supervisor.
