Individual point controls for the safety of points systems

Stadler offers modern and proven individual point controls for trams in the "driving on sight" operating mode. These points systems are crucial for safety in rail transport and enable train drivers to control trams safely.

Our switch controllers for the "driving on sight" operating mode are designed to enable drivers to drive safely and react to potential hazards. By safely controlling and monitoring switches, our switch controllers make a valuable contribution to efficient and smooth tram operations.

Stadler's technology optimises the control and monitoring of points to ensure efficient route selection and safe train movements. Intelligent automation functions minimise potential risks and maximise the reliability of switch control.

Our switch control systems are modular and integrate seamlessly into different infrastructures. They offer reliable performance under different operating conditions and help to reduce failures and optimise operations.

Our switch controllers are used to safeguard and operate sections of track such as railway sidings and junctions. They are characterised by high reliability and compliance with the required safety standards (SIL3). Switch control systems are predominantly operated in the "driving on sight" mode in accordance with BOStrab.

These can be combined with our modular train control and signalling systems. Point control systems are generally designed as stand-alone systems, but can be networked with each other via a higher-level non-safe control level (e.g. VILUDA).
